What should an anesthesia care plan include?
Include the patient and procedure summary, focused risk assessment, goals, monitoring and access, induction and airway plans, maintenance, analgesia, fluids and blood, emergence, postoperative disposition, and explicit contingencies.
Is this anesthesia care-plan template patient-specific?
No. It is an educational framework. Every real plan must be adapted to the patient, procedure, supervising anesthesiologist, current evidence, and institutional policy.
Should calculations be included in the care plan?
Include calculations that change planning, such as dosing weight, maintenance strategy, blood-volume estimates, allowable blood loss, or hemodynamic targets, and verify the conventions used.
